The Science and Innovation Forum (SIF) will be held at FAO Headquarters from 16 to 20 October 2023, together with the World Food Forum (WFF) and the FAO Hand-in-Hand Investment Forum. The FAO SIF is now in its second edition. This year's theme will be “Science and Innovation for Climate Action”. The event aims at a focused and strategic debate on how science, technology and innovation affect vulnerability, impact and capacities, and are essential to transform agrifood systems and boost climate action.
FAO SIF 2023 will facilitate sharing experiences and lessons learned on implementing concrete solutions on the ground to step up climate action, supporting Members to accelerate efforts towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the FAO Four Betters, leaving no one behind.
On Monday 16 October from 16:00 - 16:30, ENEA, FAO Partner of the MoU with the Italian Research Institutions, with Luigi Ponti will present an oral presentation entitled: MED-GOLD Climate Services in Agriculture: Making Climate Predictions Easily Accessible .
In the outdoor area, from 19 to 20 October ENEA - Luigi D'Aquino with FOS Spa , will present the Microcosmo - the first hi-tech field simulator for indoor and extreme environment cultivation of plants.
